Planning to replace the fuel tank in the 74 Dart Sport project. I see several aftermarket tanks offered. One is "lead-tin coated". Does anyone have good/bad experiences on the subject? Recommend brands or suppliers besides RockAuto? Thx.

Spectra Premium is a reliable brand. RockAuto has a good price on it and then there are those 5% discount coupons that are always floating around for RockAuto. Their tanks are made of Ni-Terne steel, which is a fancy way of saying "terne-plated", which is a fancy way of saying lead/tin plated -- which used to be the case, but the lead is most often these days replaced by zinc, which is just fine. It's better than plain zinc-plated/galvanised steel, which some of the cheaper other-brand tanks are made of.

Thanks Dan. I thought the Spectra looked favorable too.
