The track website says gates open 3 PM Sat and time runs at 4 PM. 6 PM gates Friday, 7 PM time runs.

Someone I visited recently sent me some goals for the Knoxville race.

I wish I could be there.

Just one race this weekend. Once they called it off Sat, there was no discussion of a Sunday make up. I left Gary and Barbara Bruner's around 5 PM, which is around when everyone headed out.

For me, a happy race. 8.32 @ 86.8 MPH best time for the 68 Dart. New D/U 1/8th records will be 8.44 and 85.7 MPH (next best runs).

Ron H set a new C/A 1/8th mile record at 7.57, then Rusty re-set it down to 7.09.

Here is all I remember of the ladder. I'm sure others will complete/correct this soon! 10 cars showed to race.

1st round:
Courtney Bruner vs. Lou Madsen -- Courtney wins
Rusty vs. Josh or Jimmy (Bruner cars) -- Rusty wins
Larry? (in Alanna's Lancer) vs. Rodney -- Rodney
Jack E vs. Funny Truck (Josh) ?? - Jack
Ron Hamby -- bye/breakage

2nd round:
Ron vs. Rusty -- Rusty
Jack E vs. Courtney -- Courtney
Rodney --bye?

3rd round:
Courtney vs. Rodney -- Rodney
Rusty -- bye

Final:
Rusty vs. Rodney -- Rusty (Rodney's flex plate bolts backed out)

See a bunch of you at Clay City!

Lou
