Well, the Skunkworks is now mine. Paid it off this morning, 7-1/2 years early. :D

Got the parts PT Barnum safely tucked away in the slot previously occupied by the Valiant, which is now home. Hopefully I will find the ambition to start chopping out the spaghetti bowl and replace it with a much simpler system.

Started on the spaghetti bowl today. So far I have removed a dozen wires, 2 MSD RPM modules, 2 MSD window switches, an MSD 2 stage Timing Retard box, and 8 relays, all from the nitrous system.

Also going will be the air shifter, delay box, a Jacobs power box, and a power interrupter box from the trans brake switch.

Mike was very adamant that he was not an electrician, and he did say he had fallen victim to the "Trick of the Week" syndrome. It happens, sometimes so gradually you don't even realize it. I went through it on my red car. It had a miss in high gear and I started going through my wiring. I found crap I didn't even remember doing.

Now I can see why Sandy was stuck on this. I guess I never looked inside the cockpit...

Sandy get freaked by wiring on race cars.

My mudbogger had 7 wires and 9 grounds. Ignition/kill, start . fuel. fan .
no gauges . Nothing electrical ever got in the way.

The switch panel (4"x6") bolted to the rollcage with 1 3/8 wingnut.
The harness was covered in convoluted tubing all the way
Big wire no relays .

Id start from scratch with a plan and many rolls of coloured wire.

mebbe Ill stop by Saturday and just wire it for you.....

I have many different colors of wire, good there. I counted today and there are 15 switches and pushbuttons in the car. There will be 6 when I'm done.

Hey Dennis,

What connectors do you use? You had recommended them to me awhile back.
