OK a pretty reliable "source" told me that M. Jefferies is planning on attending Bristol.

Since that makes three solid 10 sec cars planning on attending I will offer up the following bonus.

If all 4 Fast Four cars run in the 10's then I will give each fast four car a $50 bonus on top of the existing purse. I do not care if the fourth car runs 10.99999999 it counts. That means the Ron H. or Dale R. could step it up with a little shot of NOS! Norm, with a little tuning and NOS, could be a player. Even if the fourth car does not qualify in the 10's but runs one in the first rd then that counts!

Tom, I don't think Mike has the good motor in the car yet. Last time I talked to him he was much more concerned with just bracket racing again. He said he likes being fast, but he likes being a winner more. I believe he is seriously chasing the points title this year. Very Happy

I'll be there in my '68 Dart. Just getting the motor back together tonight with a more docile combo, but I'll be there! Looking forward to carving up the NC/TN hills too...

The lovely and mysterious Christine will not make it. Alas, she has to limit her car time as much as possible due to neck/back trouble. She is planning on Wilkesboro, though, and hopefully she'll take a pass or two down the track!

If you guys haven't left yet, check the Weather Channel. All I have seen on the Bristol forecast was a chance of scattered showers.
It may be worse than that. I had a call from a friend who yesterday was in Elizabethton, 22 miles from Bristol. He said they had a few tornados go thru the general area yesterday. He was there making a deal on a '70 Superbird ( I couldn't talk him into buying a slant 6, and believe me, I tried) and he is now worried about the car getting damaged before he goes back to pick it up.
With luck, it may all blow thru by Saturday.

Cecil
