Steve and I got home just about dark on Tue evening. We both had issues on Monday. I lost a trailer wheel bearing just before hitting I-75. Noticed it in the gas station. Was able to get it fixed but lost a lot of time. Couple of hundred miles later, got off I-75 for gas and fuel, and the serpentine belt idler pulley from Steves truck went bouncing down the road. Went and found it, but the bearing was seized, and the bolt was missing. Found "Short CDJR" one exit back. They went out of their way to help. The parts book showed the bolt as "not serviced". The parts guy had a tech remove a bolt from a truck on the lot, to match the size. "NO CHARGE". Got the idler from a parts store as the dealer did not have one in stock. These on the road repairs delayed us one day, but it could have been worse, if they had happened on the interstate.

Glad you made it home, Charlie, even with the delays and wrenchin' required... Sorry to have missed you at CC.

Best wishes,
Lou

I posted a new Sticky in Racing Q&A with the complete rules for setting records and added the Google Docs link there as well. Now it won't get lost in the sauce.
