Have you upgraded the brakes? I see way back you still had drums on it.

Nope, still have drums w/ the single master cyl. 10" all the way around. Stops fine for now. No line lock either. I should do that some time. Later

Wiewing the photos, I just remembered they had a nickname for the first gen. 12 cyl carbureted Jag engines: "A plumber's nightmare".
I can't imagine what made me suddenly remember that...

Nice work, Ryan!

Olaf.

Some good and some Bad. Went racing today, and found out I need a converter. Way to much slip with the 2.76 gear change and new 4" exhaust. Pulling it out tomorrow and sending it off. But I did lower my 60 ft with the new gears - 1.535. I played with the boost levels and found out anything over 24 psi will slip the converter to much on both ends of the track. Felt like a snowmobile. Later

The Drakes once told me they were on the phone with their converter guy:

Conv guy - "What does it stall at?"
Drakes - "What do you mean?"
CG - "I mean how high does it stall on the line."
D "How high do you want it to stall? It stalls at whatever we want it to, depending on how long we wait under boost...."

Ya just don't see that every day. I didn't realize the exhaust came out the front like that. I wish I had had more time to look that car over at Kearney. Lots of no compromising going on there.

I have a header I built from a used set of small block headers. 6 into 1 design. 3" piping from there into the turbo and all built from mild steel. Not for sure the size, never checked. I will be working on a stainless system in the future. Later

Went racing 1/8th mile today for the first time. Very interesting and short! Posted some new personal records also. 6.65 @ 107.80 mph. Air was good and the track was OK. A good ending to a good year. Later
Ryan

PS. will get some trunk pics posted sometime soon.

Nice going Ryan, I presume this was at Grove Creek. I haven't heard if Steve Nitti was there on Saturday or not. Maybe the three of us can all get out there on the same weekend next year.
