A Few Megasquirt Qustions

Hello, as many of you know I just finished the conversion. and after a little over a month of daily driving I am still working on the tune etc.
build info here:
http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23886&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
Well I have 2 questions:
1. is there a way for Megasquirt / Megatune to auto richen the VE map by 1-2% when the air is kicked on or Should I just use My old Carb Kicker Solenoid for that and Use it to kick the Tb open a bit??
2. I seem To be getting a constant High Idle after WUE And ASE Are off and the engine is fully warm. This only happens after the initial startup after the engine is cold / sat for a few hours. I thinks the Baro Corrections is funky. If I shut it off (warm) and immediately Restart it the idle calms down to 900~ RPM usually a drop from the 1100-1400 RPM idle before the warm restart.
I am not posting any mpg results as they are not impressive yet. I am still tuning I'll get there. The nice thing is I tune less now and drive more.. and when I tune it is by very small increments.. No big changes at all.
Thanks for the help

Greg,
This can be a long process to get things tuned in.
1. Msefi.com would be the place to ask about AC richening. I imagine someone has done it. Just a matter of whether someone has written the code and you can send a voltage signal to the ECU.
2. This always happens to me too. You can actually add a second MAP that senses baro as you are running, but I haven't felt like the trouble. I just turn mine off after a while and turn back on and all is well. I feel fine about doing this running down the highway or wherever. I do this if I gain a lot of altitude too.
Lou

It's doable with the MS2/Extra code, a few mods, and the table switching setup, but a questionable idea. What you want to do is kick the idle up rather than changing the AFR. A small controlled vacuum leak when the AC is on, like with an EGR solenoid, would be the route I'd chose. This can operate on its own with no connection to the Megasquirt.

Take a data log and see if the pulse width and AFR are different. Also check the data log to see what the GBaro percentages are and if they are different. This will let you know for sure. |

| Go to File -> Datalogging in Megatune and tell it to start. It'll prompt you for a file name and start logging as soon as you click Save. It stops either when you tell it to or close MegaTune. You can then open the log with MegaLogViewer and plot any of the numbers you saved. |
