Hey Mike and Blaine!!!!

I'm quietly sneaking up on the 14's. I put the spacer on this week, and tried it out with the same jetting as last week. 58/60 Conditions were real close to last week too, C/A 1800'. Car ran about a tenth better. 15.33 last week, 15.23 this week. I put some more jet in 60/63 and it ran 15.12, and backed it up with a 15.13 after the headwind kicked up. (15mph, can't be at 41 without a good headwind) I have a points race at RT66 next weekend and I'll have my exhaust dump in then so I can open the header. If we have any kind of weather, the 14's are mine!!!!! Dennis

That's great news! Sounds like me a some years ago. I always wondered if I could run in the 14 second bracket and I finally made it. Than I wondered if I could ever get in the 13 second bracket and sure enough I made it. I told myself 12's no way I'd have to be on some good drugs.... guess what? I made it. Their is alot of Horse Power in that old slant and the fun part is looking for it and than finding it. keep up the good work.

Thanks Dave! I never intended to get this deep in Slant racing, I gues I spent too much time with Mike and Blaine, huh? Next trick is gonna be to start spraying. I'm thinking I'll at least get deep into the 13's then. Dennis

Then 12.000? Then 11.000?? The only end I have found is when the race track will not let you race any more because you are too old.

Did those special oil pump gears get to you and Mike?
