Wish my GTO didn't have it.
Started ordering parts today to try and make sure it lives when I start adding the horsepower. Also got some things to make sure it stays out of the dreaded wheel hop, which is what causes most of the breakage problems with this system.
Ordered an upgraded half shaft, mainly because I believe I have a CV issue on one of mine. I'll put the good shaft in the right side for now and put the good right shaft on the left side. Later this summer when funds allow I'll put an upgraded shaft in the left side too. Also got some heavier fasteners to put the axles in with.
I am going to try a pair of air bags in this thing. I used to use them on my old 455 Skylark and it hooked like crazy.
Got my long wheel studs ordered for the Weld Wheels. As luck would have it, the wheels off the Valiant are dual pattern, and the rears have the correct offset for the back of the Goat.
Driveshaft loop on the way too so I'll be very legal with the ET Streets on the car.
I know this isn't Slant related, or even a Mopar, but I am so excited about playing with this car. I haven't had this much fun doing a car since I built my old 340 Challenger in the '80's. I think most of it comes from the fact that I will be doing 99% of the work myself, I will not really have to farm anything out.
I have really enjoyed doing all the Slant stuff, but it is somehow different on this car. Although still not real cheap, it will be relatively easy to have a 12 second street car that gets 25 mpg, has A/C, and doesn't eat itself every time you cut it loose. I must be getting old.
Before you flame me, remember, I am still in process with the Daytona, which will be a pretty damn fast Slant car itself when we roll it out with a good motor in it. We are very close to having it at the point where it will either come home for plumbing/wiring or go to Jeff's shop to get the headers built.

"Motorhead"; I've heard of but can't say I know a single dang song by them!
that said I got a few new CD's for Christmas; the only shop for that stuff in our mall is going outta business. so the wife got away "cheap";
she got me 3, 3 CD sets; C.C.R, the Moody Blues and John Lennon collector's edition.

The most well-known song by Motorhead has got to be "Ace of Spades".
I saw Motorhead perform in the summer of 2008 along with Testament, Heaven and Hell (R. J. Dio with Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler), and Judas Priest. I listen to different types of music these days, but Judas Priest are my favorite band of all time.
I happen to like what I've heard by CCR too.

Motorhead has a lot of really good songs. I do have a Dead Man's Hand on my left arm because I listened to AoS too many times when I was going through my divorce.
The title song from '1916' is pretty haunting too.
