Meril just called me to tell me he won the Saturday race and beat Larry in the finals. I didn't ask but was Ella working in the tower? Some things don't add up. Ron Hamby gets beat , Norm gets beat, Lucas wins on Friday, Meril and his employee meet in the final of the Saturday race the Bruner clan put together! ' '

Yep, more would be nicer. I am with family far away, so could not make the race.
Team Green, you'll just have to come out and whup Meril in a new Slant car....

I really dont have much more on the details as I left after a 1 Hour track down with NO anouncements and just standing around. I do know Rodney says (and rightfully so) he will NEVER return. He had a buy in the second (our ladder) then the track changed everything around 3 times. I ran Meril and he ran Norm. Larry must have gotten the buy.
On a GREAT note Cindas aunt Renee Fuller is now hooked she ran Garys 64 Val and now wants me to build her a car.
She went down in the 1st round but had a blast. She and Rodney raced each other in practice and she beat him. 2 64 Vals with 170s going down the track was great. I know there is a video of it among us.
Im still on the road home so will try and do a good rightup later.
Frank

Hmmmmm, I was sure Merril claimed he was 77 10 years ago. He's aging well.

I hope Rodney isn't looking for a reason to quit!! I have seen many rounds screwed up by tracks (even the finals once), so that is unfortunate, but nothing new. Glad to hear Meril is getting it done!
I look forward to seeing folks at Wilkesboro in 10 days!
