Another bump as we get closer to banquet time.
Post here so we can bring it up at the banquet.

Just a question. How do the West coast folks get to vote on the changes that are brought up at the banquet? Or do they just go along with whatever is decided?

I have a note from Bruce Pine summarizing the West Coasters' views (and votes at their banquet). I'll see if we can post it here, but I will at least bring it to the banquet in Pigeon Forge.

Ok, That's good to know!
It looks like they have 10 races on their schedule if I'm looking at the tentative schedule correctly.

| Not fair to the west coasters going for 1/8th mile records. There are none out here.Cant for the life of me figure out why splits wouldnt count at a slant event. If ya east coasters gotta do this to keep a few records away from the west coasters so bee it,I KNOW which ones I should have.Wont drive over 5000 miles to prove my point. This is the ONLY thing that irkes me with the rules.Mark

Mark, Isn't Irwindale an 1/8 Mile track?
Maybe some of the west coast Killer Bees can consider having a slant race there?
If the current rule / recording seting prcedure stayed the same this might be a way to get some 1/8 mile records on the west coast!
Just sayin.

The new 'Dale and Barona are both 1/8. The 'Dale's a bitch on the shut-off end if you're actually fast, and I haven't been down to Barona yet_________________ Dick, 225% crazy

Mark maybe you should get together with Ed (Arizona) and see about getting the slants from down south to get them to try and get a slant race or several. All they would have to do is join Killer Bees, and we could make them into the points schedule.

The killer bees web site says that in order to not count a race, you have to tell two members that that race isn't to be in your brace of seven. I think that should be made public knowledge prior to running the first round to all racers present as well.

Personally, I think all races attended, should be point races. But only the racers (n) best races count towaed the championship.
Example: go to 10 races, but only the 6 best finishes count.

Don't paint with too wide a brush Mark. Some of your biggest fans are on the East Coast! We love what you are doing!
And I don't want to see East and West records. If I ever have a record (Which I won't) I hope to say I am a "national" record holder. Splitting them up would diminish their value in my opinion.
Giving the splits to everyone is fine with me unless it somehow harms turnout. If I understand correctly that is part of the reason they were kept separate.
