Ron Parker called me a few minutes ago and asked me to post that Dale Rose was killed yesterday (9/2/12) in a tragic boating accident on the Hiwassee River near his home in Georgia. Details are sketchy at this time. It goes without saying what he meant to the Slant 6 community. Dale will be greatly missed by all of us. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Myra and the family. Ron Parker will post details soon.

Ron Hamby

Yes, this is definitely sad news. Dale was a pillar of the Slant 6 community, won a lot of races, and set some records with his Arrow.

Warmest wishes to Myra and Dale's whole family. He will surely be missed.

Lou

That is Terrible to Hear.

I send my deepest Sympathies to the Rose Family and Friends...

Last Time I saw Dale was at the Mopar Nats in the Car Coral just about 2 or 3 years ago , after he had been out of slant racing for a while...

I can remember dale Towing up to PA in 2004 for the Slant race at pittsburgh and Giving me some helpful tips when I was racing the dart and was new to all of this slant 6 ricing stuff.

This is an unfortunate loss to the Slant 6 Community.

Greg

Dale was a true racer and always made the maximum effort. He won the Plymouth troubleshooting contest once and he was always my go to guy when I would have car trouble on the road. He was the SSRN national champion in 2004 and was always in the thick of the competition. He will be missed.

Charles & (Little) Charles were in Darlington racing today when we got the sad news. Dale was competitive, always a great sportsman, and a friend to everyone who spent time around him. We've missed seeing and talking with him over the past several years but think of him & Myra often.

Our thought and prayers go out to Myra, the family, and all of the Slant 6ers who've always had a closeknit bond.

Charles, Jenny, "Little" Charles, and Chris
