Congrats, Rob! 8s in the 1/8th on your first time out is nothing to sneeze at! I look forward to seeing you with that car, or the other one, at a Slant race soon!
Lou

| What would that equate 1/4 mile time? So ya think yous big and bad? I repaced the kitchen fawcett that expolded today in record time. AND with only one (yes one) trip to the home improvment store! Top that Mater!

Yes, it sure did feel good to finally make a pass in this thing! It's been a long time coming.
I was a little nervous about the potential for bad handling, pulling to one side or the other, etc., but it went so nice and straight I couldn't have asked for better.

Rick already answered the first question. When I was typing in the time in the Best 1/8th mile Times thread I noticed that I am right behind The Little Red Piggie's best time. It would have been nice to beat that one my first time out. Next time!
Yeah, you prolly got me beat on the kitchen faucet deal. I never can seem to make just one trip to the hardware store, no matter what I'm doin'.
You may as well keep that faucet handy Cookie, cuz you're gonna be cryin' a river next time you & me meet up.

That time by the calculator I looked at is a 13.8-14.0. But he has a 4.62 gear and may be turning 9000 RPM in the 1/4!! |
No sink for ballast, but I did have the big aluminum fuel cell filled up with about 12 gallons! I wanted as much weight as I could get back there to help offset the engine weight way back at the back of my seedy towing operation.
Yeah, I'll need to figure out the 1/4 mile deal for sure. I think I need me one of them rev limiter thingies. I don't want this thing to spin up real far seein' as how it's got them cast pistons in it & such.
I guess I need to send in that burned up MSD box to git it fixed. The HEI gizmo ain't got no rev limiter that I seen.
I can't wait to do this again!

Rev limiter is located under your right foot!
