An Unusual Slant Six Application - For Sale in the UK

This has been for sale in the UK for a while now. One of the more unusual applications for this old mill.
Check it out here: http://www.britishmilitaryvehicles.co.uk/c.htm
There's some pictures of the engine on that site, scroll down for them. I'd have posted them here but I can't get a direct link to the url for them.
Can anybody here tell us anything about it/them?

Well, that would certainly explain why the Israeli military is so effective and feared: slant-6 engines!

I used to know a guy who was in Army intelligence. He always said, "If you want it done, call the Israelis."
That truck is awesome. It looks like a canister vacuum clear is the air filter, and that radiator is just massive. It looks like it is just a two seater four wheel drive light armored vehicle, like a better-built cross between a Jeep and a Hummer with a .50 calibre machine gun on it. Cool. |

Pretty sure it's not. Your truck starter might well be down at that same level near the oil pan rail, but I think it's probably a fair bit closer to the block._________________ 一期一会

I've known about this machine in the UK for quite a while, long before I got my car. Was only recently I discovered the slant in it.
From memory, top speed was around 60mph and it weighed in at about 3.5 tons.
Anybody know how much of this machine is Dodge? How bout the axles?
I think there's a few versions of this machine, one with a fully enclosed cab, and I believe a lighter weight version. Been a while since I saw that Janes book though!

Hey Red, what's the XR-6, interesting looking machine? Do I spy a VW front beam suspension?
Is it slant powered? Has similar front end treatment to the 1960 XNR (fantastic restoration by the way).

Its more than a two seater. Its got two benches behind the drivers/passenger seats.

Putting a slant in something like this makes sense, they are bullet proof after all._________________ 67' Dart GT Convertible; the old Chrysler Corp.
