A Washington slant race

Before I do the leg work, is there any interest in doing a slant race in Washington?
The Bremerton track has a Mopar day in August. This would be a good time to try piggybacking a slant race on.
Thanks

Sure! Bremerton should be a good one for the Seattle based crowd. It would be a bit of a stetch to get many of the No. Cal crew up, but as long as it falls at the right time relative to other slant races, I'd be up for it.

100 views and the only response is from ceej in Oregon...
Well if this doesn’t pan out, I can always dominate Bracket 2 at Monroe next year.

Neither is a Willy's flat fender with an F head, or a stock 1600 Kent Pinto hatchback. They race, and win! It's bracket. A stock car can be absolutely deadly at the stripe.
We've had stockers win the show many times, so don't let that worry you. Get the seat time in your non-race slant, and if your serious about winning, leave the poor thing alone. In most cases it'll be more consistant without hot rodding it.
Now, on the other side of the coin, it's mighty fun to go fast!
Don't show up to watch, just race it! You'll be glad you did!

really? you think?
I'm doing a super six conversion/bigger exhaust right now so that might help boost her a bit._________________ '73 Scamp (the girlfriend): 225ci super/6 2BBL conversion (Almost done!)

On my work schedule I'd be interested, but usually there are two Oregon slant races (if everything is fine at the tracks), one in early august for wood burn, and the other sometimes in Medford (good track to run also, people were friendly and had good BBQ dinner on Saturday).
So far I have one functional car back...block just came back for the other...missed this year, going to have to hit next year with double the effort...
Too bad my grand uncle Leonard passed on, he lived in Bremerton.

How do you guys keep up with the events? I'd love to join the events especially down in Medford as I got family down there and I visit now and then!_________________ '73 Scamp (the girlfriend): 225ci super/6 2BBL conversion (Almost done!)

I think it would be neat if there was more interest also Kev.. We're in Washington and we've traveled to Vegas, Redding, and Woodburn for races. C'mon guys, where's the support?

Kevin,
Set up a slant six race. Not a national points race necessarily this year, but a slant race. Give us some decent lead time, and we'll be there. If you need to, make it an inliner race to get some track time. I'll skip out on Woodburn's Nostalgia event to make it. (That has priority for me this year.)
You've got a bunch of folks in the Seattle area. Reed can run his van, Midi can run whatever he hasn't blown up being exuberant. Hah! Got you Neil!
It's bracket, so a 22 second carpeted, pleated, Oak paneled, custom coach could win the event!
CJ
PS: Neil, the yellow fuel can goes in the truck, not the race car!

Ummm some one has been huffing my nitrous .... ( MiDi looks @ CJ )
I have 3 a bodies at the moment only 2 run but ... doing a V8 swap in one of them
But I am down to show at a seattle race, and for once my slant cars are in good shape.
And if there is a decent turn out I could be talked into hosting a 2012 seattle /6 meet in my new 13,000 sq ft shop down at the port of everett ... I will be posting the move next week.
I am looking for a 4 speed and linkage for marilyn the 3 speed just ain't enough, so let's hope I have 4 gears for this!
I have the spray rigged up on a pistol grip shifter ... it's time to try it out _________________ Marilyn: FDB - 8.75 w/ 3.23 posi - 650cfm 4bbl - 4speed - shorty headers

Nice!
I thought there were a lot of fumes floating around!
You'd look good in a bumble bee costume dancing round with an oil change sign in front of the shop!
Be great to get up there an buy you a frothy adult beverage!
