Racer's Banquet/Reunion - Feb 17-19, 2012 @ Pigeon Forge, TN

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It's that time of year again!! Very Happy

The dates for the 2011 Eastern Slant 6 Awards Banquet in Pigeon Forge, TN have been set for 17-19 FEB, 2012.

In addition to our usual awards banquet honoring the winners of the 2011 Slant 6 Drag Racing Series, we are adding a "Racer's Reunion" and inviting ALL Racers, Promoters and Supporters both past and present to join us! Very Happy

We will have it in the same place as last year at the Valley Forge Inn. There will be a banquet dinner on Saturday afternoon, with award presentations following.

Room rates are very reasonable ($38.69 + tax for a 2 queen room). They gave us a 10% discount! Very Happy

When you call you'll need to tell them that you are part of the Slant 6 group. Confirmation # is 15782 and the reservation is under the name Rob Simmons.

(Reservations are for Non Smoking rooms, so if you prefer a Smoking room, you'll need to let them know.)

For those of you who have never been to a race or a banquet, this is a great midwinter time to meet racers, bench race, swap stories and parts, and generally enjoy the "Slanted Family."

Please spread the word to the many people that don't do the internet thing or hang out here on the Forum! Very Happy

I will be sending out invitations and making phone calls to a lot of people that no longer race with us as well as promoters and supporters. If you are already in contact with some of these people and have already invited them, please post here or shoot me a PM. I will be sending out the invitations in about a week.

I just called the Valley Forge Inn.

There are only three people who have made reservations under the Discount Group rate.

Gary Bruner 2 rooms
Ron & Kay Hamby 1 room
Me & that Motley Crue from Indiana 2 rooms

If you have made your reservation at the Valley Forge Inn for the weekend of 17-19 February and did not specifically tell them that you were with the Slant 6 Group with Conformation # 15782 YOU WON'T GET THE DISCOUNT!!

I couldn't very well go through the whole list of folks I thought MIGHT be attending to see if reservations were made, so if you're coming, make sure you give 'em the right information to get the discount!

we have reserved our room at the valley forge inn look forward to seeing everyone if every thing works out alright I hope to bring my barracuda but if it does not work out i reckon Very Happy

Me and Big Mama just made reservations so looks like we will be at the banquet if nothing happens before then. Will be a long ride up from Florida but we will leave a day early and stop over in Dalton for Thursday night and see everyone on Friday about midday.
