Seymour called one night and we talked for a couple hours about his blue race car. I couldn't believe his offer and was 100% shocked that he wanted me to keep racing his car in the future. I waited for a few days because I was almost sure it couldn't be true. I was always taught if something is too good to be true it probably is...... not this time. Seymour sent me some pictures and information about the car and we have talked many times since (and at the banquet) It is truly an honor to have the opportunity to work/race with Seymour and I am extremely grateful that he would consider me to keep racing his car. I am looking forward to the opportunity to race with him and hopefully get some of those records back from Mark!

I have always wanted an actual race car but never thought i'd have anything like this. I'm sure I will have a lot to learn going from a 14 second street car to a light weight 11 sec race car. I can't wait for the racing season to start.

It was great to meet you all at the banquet and put even more faces to the names. I had a great time with everyone and hope to be able to make it down again next year. I'm excited to see everyone at the track..... sounds like a lot of cool projects are being finished and will be ready for the racing season.

I'm not sure when it will be ready but I am working on a 74 duster for my wife to drive. It currently has a 318.....but not for long. Should have a mild built slant 6 in it shortly with some big ideas added as time and money arrive.

Congrats again, Ryan. Couldn't have happened to a nicer and cooler guy.

I'm REALLY looking forward to Mason-Dixon...

Lou

While at the banquet, two people expressed an interest in the 64/65 Valiant fiberglass front end, I have. I don't remember who one of them was. I don't know if I want to sell it, yet, but would like to know who was interested, so if I decide to sell I can let them know.

Dang Charlie! You're slippin'... Laughing

You said I had dibs over Lou.... Wink

(Actually, Lou has dibs and I'm second in line. I want the whole car though since I no longer have any 64-5 Valiants/Barracudas... Laughing )

Rob, I don't think I could sell it to you. I really don't want to be charged as an accessory to murder, if your wife finds out.

Okay,... I'm beginning to smell me a conspiracy here... Shocked

First Mark says I can't own that '62 Lancer he just bought AT ANY PRICE...

Now Charlie refuses to sell me a couple pieces of fiberglass (for a car that I no longer own Laughing )

Are you guys sending PMs back and forth and have decided to do some "Slanted Family Intervention" or something...? Confused

If so,... Thanks!! Laughing

(I'd better get back over to the garage and get that Duster loaded up for a test & tune... Wink )

If anyone here sells Rob another car, I'll kill him myself before his wife even finds out... Evil or Very Mad

Lou,

You can't kill him because I already gave him the shirt and he has to make a pass down the track! Remember? I will however, hold him down so you can put some knots on his head!! Laughing Laughing Laughing
