2nd Race

I would like us to decide if we are going to do a second race in the north. It has been another 5 weeks since this was mentioned, and there has been no movement by anyone else to organize another race in the North. That is not a criticism, just how it is. I would like us to host another race at Mason Dixon as the last race of the year. Exact date to be decided but sometime after Clay City in Mid Oct.
This race would give us an already scheduled race in case of a rain out in May. Plus it would allow quite a few folks who are not going to trvel 8-10 hours, a chance to run in 4 races in the North and be in the points hunt.I think this is good.
I think it is best to settle this before the season starts so everyone knows. Plus I pesonally would like to know before the season opener at Mason Dixon so I can know how to split up the purse money a little better. Between 2 races or 4.
Lou mentioned talking to the West racers and that is fine, but I'm not sure that we have ever tried to have the exact same amount of races East & West. It seemed to me in the past that if you could get the racers there, then we would schedule a race. We have been able to do that here. And since you can only count your best 5, I don't see an issue.
I have alreday spoken to Mason Dixon and they are willing to have us back if we decide to do it.
Let me know for sure either way.

Rick,
I am thinking another M-D race in later Oct could work and it's fine with me. I would say send a PM to Bruce Pine and get his input on the Western feelings about this.
Thanks,
Lou

It is official. The Killer Bees have added another race weekend to their schedule, and we (East coast) will have a 2nd weekend of racing at Mason Dixon in the Fall. The exact date is yet to be set, but Mid Oct is likely. This gives both sides of the country 12 races to attend.
It is fine with me to discuss the date at Mason Dixon in May also.
Let the racing begin!

Sounds great, Rick! Look forward to discussing dates in May.
I know I cannot make the 10/13 weekend or the Clay City weekend.
Lou

We discussed with those present yesterday at Mason Dixon, the date for the fall race. The date I would like to settle on is Oct 27,28. That puts it 3 weeks after Clay City. We also could do the weekend of the 20th or even the following weekend Nov 4th. No one had any immediate objections to the 27th weekend yesterday. If you would like to race with us and have an opinion please post it here. I will give it a week or 2 and then I'll make a decision and verify it with the track. (They thought any of those dates would work)

Would love to come up, again. That track has been good to me.
But, alas, it won't happen unless I hit the lottery. Just not in the budget.
