Nope LOL; 800 to 1000 bucks for a set of normal skins mounted on this car, more for performance or winter grade. This is the third set I have put on.
Man I hate buying tires, it’s the same with toilet paper, and house paint; one has to consume the product before one can determine if it’s worth a damn…_________________ 67' Dart GT Convertible; the old Chrysler Corp.

i buy stuff and keep it forever and take great pleasure in keeping and maintaining my automobiles. it is probably some sort of sickness but i get a real kick in seeing my 20 year old cars and trucks look and drive like new and constantly surprise people when i tell them the age or the mileage. People are always approaching me about buying my used cars because they know how meticulous i am.
It disgusts me when i go to a dealership and have to deal with sales or service people that could care less about what they sell or service. To them it is just a consumable object no different or greater than a toaster....completely disposable....
Dan is right. This cultural sort of thing is located deep in the Detroit's DNA and it is sad they have so little respect for their product. So far i have had a great experience with my Forrester. I am probably naive but i like to think and hope that Subaru is different. i will tell you for sure after about 200K miles

If any of you read Allpar (chrysler news and discussion site), you'd know that dealer behavior and quality is a huge issue with the management. Part of the reasons you find bad dealerships, is that state law gives manufacturers almost no power to do anything punitive over bad behavior in many states... and others, they're just not aware of what dealers are doing.
I do agree that many dealers are terrible. And that it is NOT limited in any way to Chrysler, nor does Chrysler have a higher percentage than anyone else.
However, the people to complain to are chrysler management... the dealership's owner, and, in cases of blatant ripoff... the state. If you can prove that a dealer is fraudulent, you can give chrysler leverage to do something... and the people at the top REALLY DO want to improve the situation.

For what its worth Consumer Report recently gave the Subaru its best vehicle. I have liked the boxer four, Subaru built its first one I think in 1965. In some ways its kind of old school. Different for sure.

i appreciate your comments but it was Chrysler who pretty much forced my 20+ year old dealer with integrity out of business leaving me with the jerks at the remaining local dealer
i can only conlude Chrysler WANTS it that way and i am afraid i am just done with them.
