Hi, today I found and bought an over drive transmission for a slant six.
I got it out of a 1983 dodge van (I think it said RAM, cannot remember)
I plan to install it into my 1982 D150. (currently has a NP435).
I am thinking its a 8330d.
Is this a good idea? I am looking for better high-way milage. Will i sacriffisacrificeh?
Please comment.
Also, is there anything I should know before making the swap, or will it bold right on?
Thanks again for all your help.

| I was smart enough to get everything except for the engine. Bell, z-bar, clutch, flywheel, fork, everything!! If it was attached to the trany, I brought it with me. I even brought the broken and bent-up drive shaft.
