70 valiant all back together and ready for inspection. We take it for a test drive and the turn signal flasher dies

Bought new flasher. Can't find where it goes.

Not in, or visible near, fuse block.

Not mentioned in FSM.

Please help.

It varies by year but generally it's located just above the lip of the dash...in my '67 is had a bracket that held it in place just to the other side of the ashtray...on the late A-bodies ('73 up) it can vary from being near the radio in a similar spot, to being in the mass of spaghetti near the steering column....

thanks.

found it.

I'll need an inspection mirror to figure out how to get it back in the mounting clip.

Some of the older ones had a square tab molded into the end of the plastic housing. It fit into a small hole in the clip and you twisted the flasher to lock it into place. Don't know about the modern replacement ones.
