I am trying to finish the intake and exhaust manifold on my truck and I can't remember how the linkages go on the carb. also I can't seem to remember where the springs go. PLEASE HELP! I need to get the truck back on the road. Thanks

It would be a big help if we knew what year and make /model carb you're installing. Linkages, springs and vacuum hoses change with those factors. Help us help you.

thought about that after i went back outside. My truck is an 86 and i have a holley 1945 carb. I have the vacuum lines figured out just need the linkages and springs thank you

You can look at my photos......just click on the red link below my name.
My car came with a 1945 but replaced it with a 1920 Economaster. It shows the cable linkage and springs..... :)

thanks! your pictures help me a little but it may be better if someone that has the same setup as me could help. I have 3 springs and am only seeing 2 on your setup.

Two springs are the throttle return springs, one spring is the kickdown linkage tensioning spring. The two springs have a large coil and a small coil. The small coil nests inside the large coil. This "spring pack" runs between the throttle arm on the carb and a little bracket that bolts to the choke thermostat pocket on the exhaust manifold. The third spring hooks to the kickdown arm and to the throttle arm on the carb.
