Hello all,
Just wanted to put a little information out regarding this event. As always there will be a slant 6 points race held but this year the purse will be a little better. It will pay as follows:

400 - Win 200 - RU 100 - Semis 50 - Qtrs $40 entry

If we have 20 or more cars enter all drivers names will be entered into drawing. We will draw four names and give each winner $25. There might be a few other giveaway prizes(not based on car count) and if these work out I will post the information here and send it the Seymour for the newsletter.

ALSO the fast four race will be held this year with the following payout. $250-$150-$50-$50

Everyone who can please plan to attend. If you know of someone who might be on the fence about this event please make sure they know about the increased payouts and the fast four!!!!! If we can have a good turnout it could give me a little more barganing power for next years event!

Great work Tom,
Bristol's Thunder Valley Dragstrip is such a nice track, if you have never been to that racetrack, this is your chance!

UPDATE

The following "prizes" will be given away at the Bristol race.

If 15 or more cars enter all drivers names will be entered into a drawing for two $25 giveaways.
If 20 or more cars enter, two additional names will be drawn for $25 each.

Ron Parker has been generous enough to donate $100 and we will give away the following cash awards as well.

$25 - Long distance award
$25 - best losing "package" in the first round.(light + amount over dial-in)
no break-outs no redlights
$25 each to the fifth and sixth fastest qualifier.

THANKS RON!!!!

I am working on a few other items to be given away in the drawings and as soon as I know more I will post it.

I heard back on Friday from BMS that the slant six cars will have their own pit space for the Mopar event.

If it is in the same area as last year - we were not to far from the starting line.

Good work Tom,

Stay on these people, send me some names and phone numbers and I will also give them a call.
May-be we can get them to throw-in some event Tee Shirts or something Wink

They are suppose to send me event flyers as soon as they are complete. I have been promised that the slant 6 race and fast four will be on the flyer this year. As soon as I get some I will send one your way or maybe scan it in and email it to you so that you can post it to the website.

I am playing around with a couple of slant six designs for T-shirts. Maybe we will have to give one away to the longest flight award! Laughing

I can hardly wait. I've been wanting to make it to a Slant 6 race since I got my first slant 6 car in 1991. If the kids and I can get get the "Donated Duster" up and running by then we'll tow it with us. We're down to 77 days to get it done. I'll be there regardless (even though I might be in my '89 Le Baron GTS).
