I went back through the entire history of Slant 6 Racing News archives again to determine everyone's "Performance Index".

Seymour had posted these results for the 2006 season and that sparked my interest to see who really is the "Best" Slant 6 racer... Wink

The calculation is simply the total number of round wins compared to the total number of rounds competed in since 1999.

If you won 2 rounds of a 4 round race, your Performance Index would be 0.5000.

I took into consideration those events that had the "minumum point guarantee" and adjusted them to only the rounds actually raced.

I also made adjustments where necessary for a couple races early on that were not completed, etc.

This "Leader Board" will look a little different from the "Career Points" thread... Wink

So, who really IS the "Best of the Best" in Slant 6 Racing?... Confused

Nice work. But since you have so much time on your hands, show us the list with only those who have run a minimum number of rounds run. Say 25 or 50.

Thanks, Rob. Now we have more numbers/benchmarks to bench race with.

I am impressed mine is as high as it is. I had a 0.000 rating for the first 3-4 years I raced (5 races/yr).

Not taking anything away from those with less than 25 rounds. But look at the list again with those who have 25 plus rounds and you see the cream rise to the top.

Only 2 have over a .500 win percentage and they no longer race with us. Next on the list Ron Hamby and Rodney Hargis. That is pretty good company. The rest of the top 10 looks like a whose who of Slant 6 racing.That also should give some hope to the new racers. Even the best we have in our group is still under .500! So come on out and give it a try.
