Dear Eastern Slanters,

There has been some concern about weather for this weekend's banquet. If we get a lot of people who cannot come, then some folks have suggested we may want to reschedule.

Even if you have said you are coming earlier, please respond with a post with "YES" "MAYBE - weather permitting" or "NO".

We will decide before tomorrow (Wed) afternoon whether to postpone, so that people can cancel hotels if needed.

To me the weather report does not look bad for Fri-Sun - mostly some rain and maybe a little snow on Sat.

I am a "YES".

Thanks,

Lou

We are a yes.

Gary Bruner is a yes. He said Meril will drive up Sat.

I talked to Rodney and Alanna. They have ice but think it will be ok by Banquet time. Will be there.

Charlie is on the fence as of now. He will post his decision later.

Gary said Rusty Heisten is coming.

Ron

FYI : The last weather update on our local news worries me. We are calling for more snow tonight, Wednesday and Wednesday night. Then bitter cold (15 for the high) on Thursday and more snow Friday and Friday night. If we have the banquet we will be there if we reschedule we will be there.

Well, Patti and I talked and we are going to try and come. She is feeling some better today and says she can stay in the room there just as easy as at home! I have plenty of drugs for the back so we should be Ok  So you can move us into the yes column.

Rick

Okay here is a link to our local weather http://www.wbir.com/weather/ I keep wanting to say that we need to postpone, I DON'T LIKE WINTER WEATHER!!! But if we postpone it looks like it would be the second weekend in April or later before we could reschedule. So I vote for going ahead as planned this weekend. The interstates they will have cleared and surely the main road from the interstate to Pigeon Forge will be okay too.

I am "maybe", leaning toward "no". I will hold off on a decision as long as possible. Will post when I decide. Right now the Sat forecast of wintry mix 1-3 inches, and below freezing sat night worries me.

I am a "yes". If rescheduled, would not be a problem with me.

OK FOLKS. It sounds to me that we should GO AHEAD as planned and we'll see each other in Pigeon Forge this weekend!

Thanks to you all and Slant Onward,

Lou
