So I am not alone there. I will be in attendance on Sunday (working Sat), but not racing, as usual. I will contribute to the race pot. What time does racing start on Sun?

Sam you have 2 PM's

Saturday starts at 11:00 AM and Sunday starts at 12:00. Everyone try and be there by 10:30 and we will have a little driver's meeting before we have our first time run.

My 'shoestring' budget broke but could come up with $100 for a running
slant to replace the one I screwed up last year, pending a real budget and rebuild down the road. It's in that 75/76 D100.

Know this is late but thought someone might know of something and be able/willing to bring it to Mason Dixon - it'd be the perfect rationale to
get me up there!

Story is that this truck is one of those 'good cause' type situations where two fellows cared for by the State just get a kick out of seeing it running - and now it's been quite a while. The guys, Steve and Scott, call it the "Dodge Charger" (listed that way on the registration actually) and I'd been keeping it running for maybe 7-8 years until the fellow who was housing it let me know that his wife had long since grown tired of looking at it. It's a centennial edition and maybe down the road hoping for a partial restore and bracket race it for fun, maybe high thirties? ;)

Might could pass the hat down here and do a little better with the money end but wanted to float this even though it's late in case anyone might have an idea. Can't come up Sunday as driving a friend to Va. Beach.

-DCello (Marcello) Feel free to call as I'm moving around a lot and hard to post etc on phone, though emails seem to work. 540-450-7338.

Got the races in just before a down pour. Winner today was Brian Droschak and R/U was A rookie Andrew Shank driving my 4 speed truck. We had 12 cars today. More to follow.

We had another great day of racing with 11 racer's present. Todays race cam down to Ron Hamby and Charlie Schmid with the win going to Ron.

Just as a side note. Charlie had a flat tire this morning, and guess who offered him a new tube? Yepper, Ron Hamby. Our little racing group is a small little family and we help each other out.

I will load up some pics tomorrow. Congrats to everyone.

Rick

Charlie Schmid's pickup has over 300,000 miles on the motor. This little truck has a factory-optioned heavy duty suspension and pulled the race car and trailer from Florida!

Yeah, great times everyone! Rick and Patti were the consummate hosts once again, and we thank them for their generosity in setting up the race and providing vittles for the Slant 6 racing crowd. Happy birthdays to Anna Mimken and Melissa Droschak too! Anna M and Kay Hamby helped a bunch with the food as well, which we are appreciate as well.

In my last 3 passes of the day, I think have very happily I figured out how to launch my 68 Dart, which of course helped me break out against Charlie in the 1st round.

Warm wishes to all and see you all at the races later in the year!

Lou
