Get ready our next race is in three weeks! Friday June 19th. and Sat June 20th. For entry fees I will collect $10 per racer on Saturday the same as Rick does at Mason Dixon, and the track will charge $10 per spectator. Friday will likely be only spectator fee. Friday we will meet at the track by 5:00 for practice and qualifying before the race. Saturday morning at 9:00 am we meet at Empire Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep to show our street and race cars. We will return to the track at 12:00 when the gates open. Practice will begin around 2:00 until race time around 3:00 or 4:00 pm. We will have plenty of food, drinks and snacks at the track all evening.
Wilkesboro Dragway is under new ownership and they are looking forward to having us again this year. The track has had many improvements made this year and is now IHRA sanctioned. I think it is one of the better 1/8 mile tracks around.
Check out Wilkesboro's new website : www.wilkesborodragway.com
Remember this race is sponsored by Tim Harrold lets do him proud, bring a lot of cars and have a good time.

Lets hear from everyone on the roll call. I will get it started.

Ron Hamby yes
Kay Hamby yes (with her trusty "62 Val.)

Yes tentative for me.

Got ruster glued together and fired up. checked oil clearances and got it a bit on the loose side. Still have to drain the break in oil and hit a tnt to see if it will work.

Tnt got rained out here last nite. . So I went to regular race day today. .. will get at least 3 passes maybe more if I go rounds. I made one pass already and nothing made funny noises or blew up. It also seems that I got the ignition issue fixed with the megasquirt-!

I talked with Phil the track owner today, he said anyone coming in for test n tune on Thursday night is welcome to leave their cars at the track. Like wise for Friday or Saturday night. Camping at the track is ok too. Thursday night Test n tune is $10.00. Friday will have no entry fee to race and $10.00 for spectators. Saturday no entry fee to race and $15.00 per spectator and I will collect $10.00 per car on Saturday to help with the purse and our season end kitty. If anyone wants to run the bracket race Saturday along with the Slant Six the normal bracket entry fee will be charged. His entry fees are posted on the web site. I cant remember any track owner being so generous to us on entry fees. That is pretty awesome. :)

That is a great deal, I cant make it Thursday but will be in for Friday / Saturday.

I think I will buy into the bracket racing at least for Friday i see no reason not to.
