Does anyone on here have a good source for sun visors? The ones in my `62 Valiant are so deteriorated that the only thing left is the cardboard core, and even it is crumbling.

I realize that finding correct replacements for a `62 is probably a pipe dream, but I am sure those designed for a 63-66 will work just fine.

I removed the ones from ToadRacer (62 Valiant 4 door). They are still decent. They are blue. I can take and post or send pics. Yours for the cost of shipping.

Take the cardbord / fiberboard cores to a good upholstery shop. They should be able to get you setup.

That's what I did with my 64 Dart.

Greg

Or if you want a rad rod look rivet some old license plates to the fiberboard!

Or, depending upon how authentic you want to stay, look around at the pull a parts.
I replaced the cheapo cardboard sun visors that were OE to the D150 with a really nice
set of sun visors from a Pontiac Aztek.
Both sets have covered mirrors, pull out extensions and map pockets.

I might try the junk yard. I have gone that route before.

I am not terribly concerned about originality with this one. I saved it from rotting in a field, replaced practically everything in it and have modded the hell out of it.

The fiber cores are so dried out and wasted that one of them is barely there, so reupholstering them is not a good option.

Rob, I am interested to see what you have. My interior is blue, so that would be a good match. I am also looking for a driver side back door panel. Really, all of the interior parts on this one are toast, but someone actually lost the back door panel long before I bought it.

Thanks to everyone for their ideas. Much appreciated.

Certainly not perfect, but yours if you want them. They look to have been re-done at some point.
