Stupid question- Had a cam given to me and the specs do not seem right. duration 266- 210@.050 ,exhaust 264 -208@0.050, Lobe separation is 108 and center lines are 104 intake 112 exhaust . .440 lift on intake and .425 on exhaust Here is were I get lost . valve events intake 1 btdc open 29 abdc closed ---exhaust 36 bbdc -8 atdc measured @ .050 ... -7 degrees overlap measured at .050 of tappet rise ??? Just doesn't seem right to me . What's the consensus .

You may want to check it again at .010 and .020 lifts (near lash) to see if those numbers make more sense.

What is your checking method? Directly off the cam using a solid lifter or ??

Yes- I put together 3 lifters to bring it up to make it easier for the dial indicator. From what I found out ,its only slightly different then a stock replacement solid lifter cam from any of the suppliers with a little less overlap.
