 Post subject: Rotating the engine

Car Model: 1963 Plymouth valiant
63 Valiant slant six.... How can I rotate the engine by hand? I don't see a bolt or other means to rotate it from the crankshaft pully? also assume it rotates clockwise?

You can put a bolt in the crank. 3/4" fine thread, about 2" long and a washer is all you need.

If you have the alternator and fan/ water pump pulley installed then add hand tension the v belt and turn the fan.

Pulling all the spark plugs will make it much easier to turn too.
