We ended up with 10 cars, one being an AMC since the promoters advertised this as a 6-cylinder race instead of a Slant 6 race. Low qualifier was the Wes Alumbaugh '62 Lancer (driven by Brent) at 10:86@120mph. Second was the "Buzzin' Half Duzzin'" (Mike and Blaine) at 12:65. (no bottle). We also had a couple new cars. A gentleman from Fairdealings, MO showed up with his daughter's show quality '64 Belvidere and a guy from the St. Louis area brought a really sweet 46,000 mile '74 Duster. We were joined by our friend from Alabama with a really nice '65 Belvidere. There was also a nice '72 Dart that I had never seen before. The rest of the field was the usual cast of characters, Joel Harris and his '69 Valiant, Seymour Pederson and his '62 Valiant, and my Duster. A nice turnout of SL6 cars for an event in the Midwest!

The round one winners were Brent, Mike, Joel, the red Duster, and myself.
Round two saw Brent get the Bye Run, Joel disposed of the red Duster, and for the second week in a row, I had to run Mike. I got him last week, but it was his turn this week.

Round three, Mike got the Bye, and Joel got around a red-lighting Brent to be in his second Slant final of the year. (In only 2 tries!)

In the Final, Joel's luck ran out as Mike put a whuppin' on him at the tree and cruised to the victory.

Thanks to all the Slanters (and Rambler owner) for giving this race such a good showing for up here! Dennis

Thanks for the up-date Dennis, great turn-out and "blow-by-blow" action.
I will try to find-out and post the results form Atlanta.
