I got some more info. on what went on at the Bristol SL6 Race last weekend.
All report that the weather was great, (no rain, not as hot and muggy as previous years) and the event seemed to run smoothly.

Fast ET money went to Charles Myers in his Arrow at 11.52, this was "on the motor" just because there were no other "superfast" SL6 cars there, so no need to "hit the button" at this event. ("Save" the motor for when you *really* need it!)

Many of the cars were the "mid-range" SL6 racer type, running on gas and cranking-off low 13 sec. ET passes all weekend long. Gary Bruner seems to have had the best combo. of this group, logging a 12.98 in his 3000+ lb 64 Valiant in that "high Bristol air", so he is making some power. No major problems or break-downs were reported.

Looks like $800.00 total was paid-out, Ron Hamby (winner)& Rodney Hargis (runner-up)taking home most of it. This puts Ron in the SSRN Points lead (180) with Rodney and Gordie Stevens tied for second. (170 points each)

On to North Wilkesboro on 8-11. There is big $$$ there so search " Wilksboro " for earler info.
Special thanks to S/anted for taking & posting some PICs. Here is the link:
