Thanks Seymour. That’s disappointing. |

Look there! I found them. I also found the application form I had already filled out but I guess I never sent it in.

Here is the last time slip for 2021. I am amazed at how much I can get out of this engine in the same basic configuration as 2020. Same cam, carb, fuel, pistons, head, intake, ignition, headers. Just tweaking here and there, adjustments here and there, and a little more tweaking. Major differences from 2020 to 2021 was a higher stall torque converter, a little better cylinder honing (but still not with a torque plate), some timing retard, and playing with jets. Turns out the slant doesn't like that much timing. My goal was 9.99 in the 1/4, and I think I could get there on gas, but I am switching to methanol.

Cool stuff Jeff! You should start a thread in Virtual Dragstrip so all your posts about the car are all in the same place and easy for people to follow along with your progress. There is also the Best Times thread for 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile and 60 foot times. A lot of us post our best times there. You just copy the last post and add your new information where it fits. Your quicker 10.388 could go there. EDIT: I added your 1/8 mile best time for you and then saw you had already put a 1/4 mile time from July... My badness... Carry on! |

Rob: Thanks for that. I was unaware of the 1/8 mile list. Looks like just two ahead of me on that list. Just FYI: I bought an enclosed trailer that will be transporting the #43 in 2022. (along with my wife's new golf cart pending availability) I'm tentatively planning on making three races eastward. Clay City / London / Sikesville / and-or Knoxville depending on what races get organized. BTW: Mark asked if I would take over as the coordinator for the Mokan race and I agreed. I'm pretty sure that one will be a go. Carl is very accommodating to the slant six racers.

Found my slips from Jeffers Motorsports Park. I’ll get these copied and another request form filled out and sent in. Record run was 6.5184 at 102.65 mph Backup run was 6.5746 at 102.02 mph (+ 0.8%) This was on Sept 5th 2021. So with that, don’t I get extra points? |

Not that it would make any difference. I was actually trying to leave some room for others, like maybe the #42 SDRA, or others, so maybe they are the snoozers. |

Here are the updated records as of 4/19/2022 We have a new record from Jeff Kendall and his dragster. (sorry it took so long to post Jeff) We also have some new C and D unlimited records set by Denny Baierl. I believe Denny was running the Duster owned by Steve Nitti. Denny was able to just break the 12 year old record held by Ryan Peterson. They then added weight to break Lou's D Unlimited record. Congrats to you guys on building some super fast slants and breaking records! Hopefully we will see even more records set this season! Here is a link to the complete record list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QRaYMzekL_hgLQeEqOGFgg2WwuftuA6LPYXWgQY3eMI/edit?usp=sharing And here are pics of the new records: Attachment: Attachment: Attachment:
