Since I am done for the year and it's getting cold, went to the shop and drained the water out of it. Been putting my 4.86 pig together so it will be ready for next year. I seem to be doing 1/8 mile only, so I might even try my 5.38's next year.

Biggest thing on the list is it's definitely time for a new trailer. I bought mine used 16 years ago, it was 15 when I bought it, and it has to sit outside so it is just wore out.

What size rear tires do you run ?
What is you rpm at the end 1/8 mile ??
Rookie here trying to figure out what I want for rear gears lol

I have 30X9 radial slicks on 10" wide wheels. 4.10 gear, it turns about 5500 at the 1/8th in 2nd gear. I shift into high around the 1000' mark. It turns 5300ish at the stripe in the 1/4 mile.

Here's my thinking: 1.45 second gear x 4.10 axle ratio = 5.945

I think I can make a 1/4 mile with it. Right now it traps at 5300ish, and I don't go into high gear until 1000 feet. Doesn't really matter, US 41 runs all the bracket stuff on 1/8th mile, and RT 66 is not going to open, so no need for worrying about the 1/4 mile. :(

Went to the shop Wednesday and fired the car up. It had oil pressure and the trans went in gear. Send it!

Ordered my new belts today, and 3 new fuel jugs to replace the ones that got stolen.

Picking up a new to me trailer in 2 weeks. Taking the recovered 4 wheeler in for a once over. Putting the car up on Patrick's lift for a gear change and once over.

Got my broken PTC converter sent in today.

Mokan here we come!

Picked up my new to me trailer today. Loaded the car up and brought it home for a gear change and a once over.

Discovered today that I got hit worse than I thought. I am missing a Clifford intake that I bought from Charlie, and my Offenhauser I got for Bill. Pretty sure those probably went straight to the scrapper.

Thanks Lou. Every time I go down there I find something else that was taken. I am hoping the police are getting closer to an arrest.

I'm sure they're still investigating. Sometimes it takes a while for the rats to turn on each other, but they will.

Got my converter back from PTC today. I found out why the stamping numbers meant not much to PTC. it's actually an ATI, but PTC repaired it 15 years ago, and have now rebuilt it. Very happy with their service.
