Greg I just spoke with Mike Monday about doing a legal Stocker motor for the ugly F bomb.  I am going to Patrick's Saturday to finish up the steering project. Patrick made a fixture for plotting bump steer and has gotten most of it out. He will be doing an alignment and then it comes back to the Skunkworks. At the end of the season last year I had gotten the car to literally print 60 foot and 1/8th mile timeslips. This race is 1/8th mile, so I am looking forward to going some rounds.

Well crap. 41 announced last night this event will be their opening weekend. I will not be released from doctor care by then. Just my luck.

I didn't think you'd need a Dr release for something that isn't "work". (Not that it's easy putting a car like that together and maintaining it but it's not your "9 to 5" sort of thing, ya know) . Why's the doc need to know unless he is one of your race sponsors? Get out there and race! Or let Pat run it as a test drive to check out his work he put in it |

I've thought about asking Pat. I'm sure he'd do pretty good. It's not doctor's permission I'm worried about. It's retearing my Achilles tendon climbing in and out of the car that scares me, especially on the trailer. |
