Bill Hatcher was one of the more successful slant 6 racers out of Phoenix. His cars were pictured many times in national magazines because he was in the finals in some kind of AHRA or IHRA event. Those associations had formula stock classes that were very favorable to our kind of cars. I don't know that I have seen this Lancer, I think he also had a 62 hardtop. When I used to get the National Dragster I noticed the Hatcher name several times in their coverage, probably a son carrying on the racing tradition. I never contacted Bill in the day because he seemed more interested in bracket racing than trying to go fast.

Yup I bought that....
The previous owner (chevy guy) bought his altered slant power car from the estate. some parts were left in the Lancer so he ended up buy it ...took the parts n was scrapping the Lancer...I could not let that happen...lol
