Hello all,
I have a short tail shaft a230 and am having issues getting the input shaft bearing. I believe I can get one at the wrecking yard with a long tail shaft. First is it possible and second if so how much work is it to swap the tail shaft so it will still fit in my vehicle.
Thanks in advance.

If you want a short output the main shaft and extension housing have to be swapped.

Have you tried a bearing supply house for the input bearing?

Yes but I needed it for this weekend and everyone I tried would have been here next week. What I need is a good bearing number for the 80mm od input shaft bearing. Anyone know what it is.

I ended up trading the a230 for one with a good bearing so all is good. If anyone needs a np745, a833, or A230 my local wrecking yard has them. Let me know and I’ll get one lined up for you.
