So, I'm trying to get my TransGo shift kit installed. The last page has some deceptively simple notes about pulling the reverse servo out, swapping out a spring, and popping it back in. The only notes I've seen on how to do this involve removing the tailshaft and using a special tool to pull the band lever.

It looks like I could simply back the rear band adjustment screw all the way out, pop out the band strut, then swing the band lever up and out of the way of the servo and pull the servo out that way. Is that workable, or am I likely to have the lever just stick at some point that's further up but not far enough to get the servo out?

Update - some shift kit write-ups imply this is indeed possible. Will give it a try tomorrow when I get a chance.

Got it out - only to find the stiffer spring TransGo provided doesn't fit my servo. They had a note along the lines of "If our spring doesn't fit, use the original."

At least I managed to find out that their spring didn't fit without removing the tailshaft.
