1966 Plymouth Valiant 100, the temp gauge seems to be fine. The gas gauge shows full when the tank is full, but after about 3 or 4 gallons usage it shows empty - goes down rather rapidly. We replaced the sending unit and cleaned out all the contacts behind the instrument cluster. I have read the article about the instrument cluster voltage regulator, but since the temperature gauge seems fine am a bit confused. Any help is appreciated - thanks.

Did you replace the Sending unit with a new spectra premium Unit?

Those have a resistance curve that is known to be waaay off of what they should be!
