I am in the process of installing a Borgeson PS box and GM stile PS pump replacing a TRW pump. My current grounding conductor from battery is to the water pump's attachment bolts at 2 O'clock. That location makes for a not so neat looking routeing of that wire. Where did the factory land the engine block grounding conductor on power steering equipped cars?

At one point in time I had landed that cable on one of the two 7/16" bolts attaching the TRW power steering bracket to the block. Using the pump bracket grounding location proved to be troublesome and hard to reach without some disassembly when servicing the cable connection. I relocated it to the water pump because of sloth.

The car has headers making the driver's side of the block is not as accessible as a stock exhaust arrangement.

Pretty sure it was to one of the PS box mounting bracket bolts to the block.

I seem to remember the drivers side motor mount top bolt to the block.
