Hello all,
I am new to the forum. Last week I picked up a 1961 4dr Dodge Lancer 770. Manual stick and slant six of course. This car has been sitting for over 25 years but fires right up with fuel down the carb. It has a four barrel Carter with a Offenhauser intake manifold and MDI ignition. (Wider wheels and tires too!) It will not run on a remote gas tank with electric fuel pump. Any idea of a good carburetor like Holly or Weber for this type manifold? Just cruising the streets. Thanks in advance for any help!

Rebuild the one you have or find another one like it

I would sure like to see some pictures of the car you have sounds like a great find.

If it is a stock engine with minimal bolt-ons (no cam changes or headwork) the Holley 350cfm four-barrel will be fine for that engine with minimal jetting changes.

If you don't use the carb you have I *might* be interested in it

I finished rebuilding the Carter AFB (my first automobile carburetor rebuild) and it actually started and ran!
Now brakes.
