Getting that block then installing those Hyper-Pak and HP exhaust manifolds from eBay on it would make a nice coffee table. (like one I've seen somewhere before)

I hope these pics work and are not too large. This is what my aluminum block looked like. I have over 1500 miles on it now after a stock rebuild. I had some trouble this summer with water and oil mixing but after re-torquing the head bolts and changing the oil, filter, and antifreeze a few times, it seems OK now. Mine is a 1963 with the number 51859. I think you can click on these to get a better view. Hope this helps.

Even if the block isn't salvagable, keep it around for a "dummy/setup" block. The mounts are the same as the iron, and it's a bunch easier hoisting the al block. You could even keep it on the engine stand as a convo piece.
