I was just dodging raindrops in the driveway, attempting to install the flywheel from my early slant six ('60's) onto a later slant six (1975). It appears there is a ridge on the end of the crankshaft preventing this. Now what? adapter flange, mill out flywheel?

The bolt pattern is different as well. You need the right flywheel...or motor.
