Im going to turbo my 225 slant six in my 72 Duster soon. Im going with a 2.2 liter mopar turbo, new bearings/seals and polished impellers, Clifford 4-bbl non-heated intake, Carter AFB 625 CFM, Carter big block high volume fuel pump with slantsix arm and boost referenced, Isuzu NPR intercooler, Msd boost retard, HEI or MSD ignition. Also going to put fuel pressure, boost and air/fuel ratio gauges.

-Does this sound good?
-Is there such a thing as too big of an intercooler? Will a big intercooler increase turbo lag?

Let me know your tips and advice, as i will need it later.

Thanks, Tom B

What is the plan for mounting / feeding the turbo? (exhaust manifold type)
Will this be a blow through or draw through turbo system?

It will be a blow through setup, and im 99% sure i will use the stock manifold and modify it to accept the turbo like in the Turbo Article. Is that your engine Doug? The red one w/ the offy valve cover, and silver exhaust manifold? I plan to run 8-10 lbs of boost at 4400 rpms.

Yes, that is one of my early attempts at a turbo Slant. I found out fast that the 1 bbl carb. just won't handle all the airflow. The modified stock manifold and the 2.2 turbo worked pretty well.

You wouldnt by any chance want to sell that manifold would you Doug? It sure would make my swap go alot easier. You are in southern California right? im in Oxnard so i could pick it up if you wouldnt mind selling it to me.

Thanks, Tom B

sounds good to me. The more gauges you have to help tune the car the better.
If you are looking for a turbo? Try turbounleashed.com they have the t03 from the dodge cars.
