So how is the GM HEI working compared to the 74 ECU?
Is there any difference in power?
or in idle quality?

Ted -
Love to be able to tell you, but the HEI module/coil assembly we have never quite panned out, not sure if the unit was defective or if the wiring was messed up somehow.. for now we've just got the stock-style ECU installed. I'm not sure whether I'll give the GM HEI another try or not, for now we have enough to work on without worrying about it.. ;)

They actually started with a 1976 OEM ECU, and when I suspected that, they got a 'Made in the USA', slightly used aftermarket ECU....
