i don't know anything bout them, but do you have a test vehicle? like something you don't really care about to test it on. y'know in case something goes wrong :) i think that might not be a bad idea if possible

I use the devils own kit with my turbo setup. Inlet temps are 15* less than ambient when I checked it with a thermo-couple.

I'm happy with this kit.

I run 100% meth. but like you discovered the mixture can be 0% to 100%. Some guys on the Buick sites use denatured alcohol (home depot) as well. Pacemakr86 is pretty up on the stuff he has the same name on the Buick boards as well. He is the one who suggested to not even bother mixing it and just run it at 100%. It adds cooling proprties and octane as well.

If your track sells fuel they might carry it.

there was only one racer here running alcohol, and he use to bring it in by the barrel but he changed his comb/setup and had to go back to race fuel. a local speed shop will sell 5gal cans of race fuel but its $95+taxes, that over my budget and the av-gas i use to run is almost as exspensive, this i why i am thinking of water injection, one investment on the system and then i can work with pump gas, i hope.

I am jumping on the thread to see what people do. It has been around a long time.

Windshield washer fluid is about 95% water and 5% methanol, although the exact proportions depend on the temperature rating.

I mix 50-50 windshield washer fluid, and denatured alchohol. I am far from an expert. I installed it to try and get out of detonation, but this project is still a work on progress. As I got things tuned up better, the boost built to where I am back into detonation in first and 2nd gears, but I can feel some real power potential now. I am going to install a bigger intercooler, which will cool things down more, and drop the boost levels some. Hopefully that will get things under control. I am using the Devil's own as well.

I was told by our local speed shop that back-fires with pure meth can create an explosion in the manifold. I think this is what happened to Don Garlits in his famous fire/racing event.

Garlits had a backfire alright. It was Nitomethane. The injectors were on the top of the blower.

The turbo diesels I worked on in college had pop off's on the intake. The ALCO (American Locomotive Company) burped one time on a 110* day. That plate clanked when I was checking things and I ran out of that building nearly crapping my pants! The turbo on that engine weighed 600lbs.
