 Post subject: Autometer Street Tach

Ran across an old Autometer tach. It has a green wire, black, and white wire. Does this seem like the right wires for a tach or has it been rewired by someone?

Sounds right to me too. Green = coil negative, black = ground, white = switched positive. No interior illumination? Also, if it is old enough it might not read correctly for a six without snipping a wire inside.

Yup the nail on the head has been hit. Some of the old tachs I have ran across doesnt have lighting. Never figured out why but I also have an OLD Sun tach that is illuminationaly(dont think thats a word lol) challenged... :wink:
