Rodney and Meril are scheming about putting radiator flush and a lot of Barrs Leak and seeing what happens. I'm not to sure how I feel about being their test pilot.

Hey Alanna!

62 Lancer is your car? I wonder if Mark Charapich would have a spare radiator he could lend or sell you?? Could be swapped at the track easily. I have used universal aluminum rads ($180) also in different cars.

All the best,

Lou

Rob,

I will check with the track and make sure they will be selling racing fuel. I know they have in the past!

Rob,

I have confirmed with the track that they will be selling VP racing fuel. I also inquired about the scales, and they told me to just ask at the tower and they will unlock the scales!

I didn't even think about asking for pricing on the race fuel. I'm sure it won't be cheap.

I think the scales have always been open when I've been there.

Lou,

I don't think a universal will fit because the radiator sits different in a Lancer than it does on everything else (kind of up in the grill). Even a Valiant radiator won't fit. :(

Thanks for the ideas though,

Alanna

That looks great, Brian. I plan to be there by NOON on Friday with the V2 Valiant, so I can practice with the new iron.

Alanna, the radiator I have is really small and I bet we could make it fit on a Lancer. It's nothing like a later Val or Dart radiator.

Lou

I also have a VW rabbit/scirroco style radiator you are welcome to use. It is very small too. I can't imagine that it could not be made to work. Although you would have to adapt the hoses down to smaller sizes. Lou is closer, but if you want mine it let me know. I could get it back next year at the banquet.
