hey, would a non-lockup VB out of a 77Volare wagon work in an 80lockup transmission? i probably already know the awnser but i just want to be sure :?

No. Lockup trans needs the hydraulic passages in the VB in order to work.

nothings really wrong with it, this is in a 80 4dr Volaré that will have a pretty radical cam and will be used for street/strip use.

lockups arent that great for strip so its time to "upgrade"

The reason i asked this Q is because when installing a trans kit i lost a little cam out of the VB. i found it and its running perfect again :)

I imagine if you don't want the lock-up feature you could just put a little plug in which ever end of of the lock-up valve to keep it from going to lock-up position.
