I have a complete a-833OD rebuild kit that my brother gave me, he never did rebuild the trans in his 81 dodge van. I have a '74 a-833OD transmission in need of a rebuild. Anyone know what might be different between these two models? I'm hoping to avoid buying a complete kit, suspecting that most of the parts from the later kit would work. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprized of almost everything were different. The input shaft is different, and the side cover plate are probably different. I wouldn;t trust fro certain anything to be the same. Call Brian at S&K in NY. Look them up in the Car Craft ads at the back of the mag. He will know.
